Summary of Services
The OneCard is the university’s all-purpose identification card that also provides purchasing power throughout campus. It can be used to gain access to a building, pay for a meal, check a book out at a library and is the only card that needs to be carried while on campus. The front of the card has your picture and identifies you as a student, faculty or staff. The back of your card contains a megastripe that contains your account information and controls your access to secured campus locations.
Parking and Transportation Services provide well-maintained, safe parking facilities and transportation for students, employees and visitors. Currently the parking system consists of seven structures that hold a total of 12,500 spaces with plans for expansion in 2007!
Business Services provides the formulation and implementation of new and automated services for cost effective business practices for Wayne State University including its colleges, departments, faculty, staff and students. Business services helps in the university’s mission to discover, examine, transmit and apply knowledge that contributes to the positive development and well being individuals, organizations and society. Business Services includes UPS, AAA and OfficeMax.
Retail Development is a thriving part of the Wayne State University community. WSU residents, students and the surrounding neighborhoods can shop, dine and even get a haircut all while on campus. As the university continues to grow, so do our retail opportunities.
McGregor Memorial Conference Center hosts hundreds of conferences, meetings and seminars each year and manages catering services for campus events.
Contract Services manages the equipment maintenance program, equipment lock downs, duplication center (FedEx Kinko’s), copying and printing services program (IKON) and external contracts on campus (WSU Barnes & Noble Bookstore and Pepsi). This unit develops and establishes contracts with external vendors to provide the university with quality goods and services.
